Non-representational artist Howard R. Barnhart unites colorist and Constructivist methods creating abstract geometric art in several media. From 2002 through 2004, he completed twenty nonrepresentational compositions each of which includes one or more digital animations, sets of digital prints and constructions. All of the construction were wall reliefs of acrylic, panels and wood.

Digital Animations chronicle the full cycle of a composition's development. To limit download time, these Quick Time videos are edited, compressed segments of the full, high resolution originals. Relief Constructions are based on animations and prints, but are not fabricated from them mechanically. Animations and prints are viewpoints of departure.
